Wedding at NicoBella – Courtney and Kyle

December 11, 2019

Who:  Courtney and Kyle
What: Wedding at Nicobella, Morgan City
When:  November 2019

Weddings at Nicobella in Morgan City are always some of my favorites!  I’m not sure if it’s because I enjoy going back to Morgan City and working where it all began or if I just love Ms. Bonnie and the food so much!  Regardless of the reason, it’s always a joy to work there!   Kyle and Courtney’s Morgan City wedding at Sacred Heart Catholic Church was no exception.  The images I was able to capture of Courtney and her bridesmaids on a balcony overlooking the Morgan City Riverfront at sunset are probably some of my favorite I’ve ever taken – we had so much fun at her bridal prep!   Everyone was so relaxed and there was so much time to be creative and enjoy the process.  The groom and groomsmen photos that Amanda captured are also some of my favorite – especially the ones of Kyle playing his guitar, overlooking the bayou!

Courtney requested a close-up photo of her face when she first saw Kyle at the end of the aisle, an image we don’t usually do because we’re usually trying to capture the wide angle of the bride walking through the doors and down the aisle.  But I have to say, I think this is a photo we’ll have to attempt more often!  Then there was the moment when Kyle and his son caught each other’s eye as he was coming down the aisle with a guitar sign!   So many sweet and memorable touches that made their wedding so unique and special.

After the formal bridal party photos at Sacred Heart’s altar and a few bridal images of Courtney outside of the church, it was time to party at their Nicobella wedding reception!  The best moment was when Kyle sang Courtney the song he wrote for her.  Everyone in the room was surrounding them and reveling in their love and joy – such a special time!  Courtney and Kyle’s nighttime wedding photos on the Morgan City Riverfront are also some of my favorite (I’ve got a lot of favorite images from this wedding!).  Weddings at NicoBella Morgan City are also fun because we get to do these sunset and nighttime Riverfront portraits!

Wrapping up the night was the sparkler exit from Nicobella.  This is the best example I can give for why you should always purchase the longest sparklers you can find – Courtney and Kyle ran through 3 times!   This is not only fun for them and their guests but it gives us a chance to get more creative with the sparkler photos.  If sparklers aren’t quite your thing, I’ve written a blog post with some other ideas for grand exits!
