Memorable Moment:  As Amanda and I were sitting in our car waiting for the bridal party to arrive, we got a phone call that the limo bus was broke down just a few minutes from the church so we went and “rescued them” from the side of the road!  A broken wrist just a week before this wedding, meant that I had to rely heavily on my my associate photographers Amanda and Carley (they did an amazing job!).  The two of them shot the entire wedding with the exception of a couple of the portraits.  This was also our first wedding at The Madison in Broussard and I loved the rustic look of the hall and how well it fit into Ashley and Tyler’s vision for their wedding.

Rustic weddings have been so popular in the last couple of years and all of my couples have done such a great job with the rustic decor.  Anyone looking for rustic engagement photos should check out the engagement sessions at Laurel Valley that I’ve done recently –  rusty tractors, old wooden buildings, old fences – the list goes on!  It’s definitely a popular Thibodaux engagement photo location!

Ashley and Tyler incorporated a lot of rustic touches into their wedding such as the sunflower bouquets with burlap accents and the cypress log they used for their guest sign-in, a very unique idea!  Their cake table was created from old barrels and the cupcakes were sitting on wooden stands.

The night ended with some beautiful nighttime portraits in the courtyard of the Madison.  I loved how the outdoor lights accented the background perfectly!  Congratulations Ashley and Tyler!
