STUNNING.   That’s pretty much all I need to say about these two!  Aristine and Javis have always been so darn photogenic – I love photographing them – ever since their engagement session in the French Quarter and wedding a few years ago.  Aristine also did her bridal portraits here at Fairfax House, so it was sweet to be back in the same location for her maternity session.

Let me tell you, if you think July in South Louisiana is hot … try being pregnant in July in South Louisiana!  You can ask pretty much any woman who has been there and she’ll tell you the same.  Aristine made it look easy to take photos in the heat (Javis did too, I know he was suffering under that suit as well LOL).  And when she asked me about doing a milk bath session, I responded yes without any hesitation!  It was a new adventure for me, one that required me to stand precariously over Aristine (with Javis standing nearby) but it resulted in such beautiful images and I know they will treasure them for a long time.  I’m so grateful that Aristine allowed me to share one of them!

I think my favorite thing about photographing these two has always been the way they look at each other.  It’s not staged or faked for the camera, it’s true connection and I promise you, they are just as sweet and kind in real life as they look in their photos.  I truly love these two so much and I can’t put into words how excited I am to photograph this part of their journey together.  Their baby boy is going to be gorgeous and so very loved by so many people.  Stay tuned for their newborn session coming next month!
