Wedding at The Canefield – Halie and Jonathon

When I first booked this wedding at The Canefield in Raceland, I couldn’t wait to check out the newest wedding venue in this area.  I knew it would be a beautiful location for a wedding and I wasn’t disappointed.  The inside of this venue is a dream to photograph – the all white interior with the dramatic wooden beams make for some really stunning photos!

I first met Halie, Jonathon and their sweet little boy Dalton at their Laurel Valley engagement session last year.  We spent a beautiful afternoon taking photos of both them and their whole little family.  Photographing them again for their wedding was just as much fun and Dalton is still adorable!   Just look at him carrying that sign down the aisle ahead of his mama’s entrance!

Halie and her girls got ready upstairs at The Canefield, which is the perfect area not only for getting ready but also for all the photos taken before the wedding.  The lighting up in that loft is amazing!  The girls already had the dresses and bouquets set up perfectly, ready for me to photograph.  The photo I took of their wedding rings is definitely one of my favorites – the delicate lace of their invitation made the perfect backdrop for them!

Jonathon and Halie decided to do a first look, which we also did up in The Canefield’s loft area.  This allowed us to get all of their formal portraits done before the ceremony, leaving us some time to photograph just the two of them behind the venue, right at sunset.  The two images of them together outside were taken by my 2nd photographer, Amanda.  After their ceremony, the couple and their families danced the night away.  Their families are a lot of fun – everyone was so welcoming!

Congratulations Halie and Jonathon!
