Does anyone have any idea how excited I am that it’s not only spring but that we are back to longer days?? That means DAYTIME WEDDING PORTRAITS!! Hannah and Steven’s wedding ceremony last weekend at St. Stephen’s in Berwick ended just in time for me to whisk them outside of the church and capture tons of beautiful, soft, backlit photos right as the sun was going down behind them. We were even able to do the rest of our formal outside as well! Just look at all of them – aren’t they just the sweetest?! Total naturals in front of the camera – you may remember them from their engagement session last year or more recently, from Hannah’s bridal session. Hannah and Steven were married at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Berwick. These two are truly so much in love – I just love how genuinely happy they both look in their photos – and also the looks that Hannah gives Steven occasionally! Their wedding reception at Atchafalaya Clubhouse Golf Course, located in Patterson, was held both indoors and outdoors. This is what they loved about their venue – especially the way the outside is lit up at night. I loved the unique way they did their entrance and first dance. Instead of doing a sparkler send-off at the end of the night, family and friends lined up to welcome Hannah and Steven to their reception with sparklers. They then went directly into their dances, outside under the stars, with the brightly lit clubhouse as a backdrop. Right after their first dance, I quickly ran them over to the golf course to grab a sunset photo just as we lost the last bits of light.
Jannine and Pernell of Elegant Events of the South did an amazing job decorating the reception. From the entrance and favor tables (they had dog treats and special fig cookies) to the candlelit tables inside, everything was beautifully decorated (as usual!). Once all the photos and events were finished, all the guests danced outside on the deck, overlooking the golf course. All in all, it was the perfect spring wedding! And I even got to see one of my past couples – Jordin and Jack were married on May 25, 2019. Hannah was one of her bridesmaids and Jordin was one of hers last weekend!
