Wedding at St. Hilary Church in Raceland – Kaci and Dustin

November 11, 2021

Kaci and Dustin finally got married, after booking with me almost 2 years ago!   This sweet couple was supposed to get married last year but postponed due to Covid and then Hurricane Ida barrels through the area just a few months before their second date.   Their wedding at St. Hilary in Raceland, one of the areas hit very hard by the storm, wound up being a beautiful celebration with perfect November weather.

The reception was held at the Raceland Lion’s Club, beautifully decorated by Unique Designs.   All of the florals were done by Just for You, white with bold red flowers, perfect for a November wedding.  The cake by Chez Bakery was simple and elegant and the DJ, Marty, kept everyone dancing all night.   The kids, especially the bride and groom’s precious baby boy, Alexander, had a great time dancing as well.   With 6 godchildren, the little members of the wedding party were important to Kaci and Dustin.   It was so funny to see how each of them reacted to their position in the wedding.   The flower girls were like mini brides and one of the ring bearers had to pose every time he saw the camera!

After a whirlwind 2 years with so much happening, I hope Kaci and Dustin have an amazing honeymoon in Disney World!  (And apparently, they may run into their priest there as well!)
