Leah and Matthew had their ceremony a few weeks ago at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and their wedding reception at La Patinoire. What a beautiful little church it was – the perfect backdrop for their wedding.
I first met Leah and her mom at a coffee shop when we met to discuss wedding packages. I immediately liked both of them – they are just so sweet and easy to talk to. Leah told me all about her and Matthew and their wedding. It was when we met to plan their honeymoon that I met Matthew. (I do travel planning on the side, specializing in all-inclusive resorts!). Again, I had the best time just sitting and talking with them, hearing about how they met and what they wanted to do for their honeymoon. We then met in City Park for their engagement session which was a beautiful afternoon, that somehow ended with rain. It was in between this and Leah’s bridal session that I realized I had known her sister Kim for quite a few years, so it was extra fun when Kim met up with us at Longue Vue and I knew the wedding would be a great time!
I loved all of Leah’s bridal details – her all-cream bouquet with unique touches such as white-tipped pine cones down to their wedding bands – gorgeous gold rings for Leah and a very unique ring for Matthew – it has dinosaur bone in it! I’m also obsessed with the green color that Leah chose for her bridesmaids ‘dresses!
After their beautiful ceremony, everyone headed to La Patinoire – The Rink for their fun-filled reception featuring Typically Booked who kept everyone dancing all night long. I love that Leah requested a photo of everyone on the dance floor as a whole group before I left for the night!
