I’m so excited to finally share Lindsey’s bridal photos at Ardoyne Plantation! Just about an hour or so before the session, a small storm cell literally parked itself over the property and dumped 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes. There wasn’t a drop of rain anywhere else in Houma, just in a small area around Ardoyne. We had already changed dates once for the session because of rain, not to mention, her wedding had to be postponed twice due to Covid and Ida. To finally see this gorgeous bride marry the love of her life with their adorable twins by their side was such an honor! I can’t wait to share their wedding day images!
Thankfully, Ardoyne is actually a property that is pretty easy to still shoot around, despite the soggy ground! With the beautiful covered porches, it’s easy to still get beautiful outdoor images while staying out of the grass. We were also fortunate that it was warm enough for the sidewalks and gravel driveway to dry out just enough to use for photos. I think you can’t even tell that a large part of the property was basically a lake!
Lindsey and Andre’s wedding at Cypress Columns this weekend was a blast – that blog post will be coming soon!
