Wedding Wednesday – An All-Inclusive Honeymoon!

In honor of National Travel Advisor Day / Month, I thought I’d do another post about honeymoons.  A couple of months ago I did a Wedding Wednesday with some packing essential tips, which you can find here.   Today, I’m going to tell you all about my top choice for honeymoons – Sandals All-Inclusive Resorts.

Of course, I’ll be upfront and remind everyone that I am a travel agent and that I specialize in Sandals All-Inclusive Resorts.   But in today’s post, I want to explain exactly why I believe this is the absolute best honeymoon you can take!

First, Sandals White House (now Sandals South Coast) in Jamaica was where we took our honeymoon over 15 years ago.  We fell in love not only with the Sandals brand, but also with Jamaica.  Since that trip, we have been to Jamaica enough to be considered “Jamericans” LOL   We have taken our kids a few times and have another family trip booked in June.  Many people seem to discount Jamaica and I think it gets a bad rap.   If you’ve gone to Jamaica on a cruise, try again.  You saw literally the worst part of the country.  The water here is crystal clear and the sand is soft and white but what really makes Jamaica stand out and is the reason we keep returning is the people.   Jamaicans are some of the most joyful, kind and friendly people I’ve ever met.  We talk about trying other islands but Wade and I always change our mind and go back to Jamaica.   We stayed at Sandals Grenada about 3 years ago and even though the resort was stunning as well as the beaches (the water there is a gorgeous greenish teal and the sand is a unique brownish color) but the people just didn’t compare.

Not only is Jamaica beautiful and the people are amazing, but Jamaica is one of the shorter flights and is usually more budget-friendly.   Flights typically run about $400-$600 per person whereas St. Lucia, for example, can be $900-$1200 per person.  That’s a huge chunk of your budget!

So I’ve said my piece on Jamaica, now let me tell you a little about the Sandals brand and why I believe it is the best all-inclusive brand out there.

If you’re soon to be married and looking for the perfect honeymoon destination or even if you are jus looking to go on a couples vacation (or family, I can tell you all about Beaches, Sandals family brand as well), Sandals All-inclusive resorts are an excellent option to consider. Sandals Resorts is a collection of 15 luxurious all-inclusive resorts located in the Caribbean, specifically designed for couples seeking a romantic getaway.  They have resorts located in Jamaica, Bahamas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Antigua, Curacao, and Barbados.  There is also a Beaches resort located in Turks and Caicos.

Here are some of the reasons why Sandals All-inclusive honeymoons are a great choice for newlyweds:

  1. Unlimited food and drinks At Sandals Resorts – REALLY.  All food and drinks are included in the price of your stay. You’ll have access to a wide range of dining options, including international cuisine, local favorites, and even 24-hour room service. You can enjoy premium brand liquors and unlimited pours of Robert Mondavi Wines, so you don’t have to worry about racking up a hefty bar tab.  There are no hidden charges, all restaurants and liquors are included. (There are a few wine brands that you can purchase for an additional charge but there are plenty of included wine options).
  2. Private and romantic accommodations –  Sandals Resorts offer a variety of room categories, including luxurious suites with private pools, over-water bungalows, and beachfront villas. These accommodations provide plenty of space and privacy for honeymooners to enjoy their time together.  There are also rooms that include your own personal butler, available 24 hours a day.
  3. Activities and entertainment –  Sandals Resorts offer a wide range of activities and entertainment options, including water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving, and paddleboarding. You can also enjoy land activities like beach volleyball, tennis, and golf. In the evenings, there are live shows, themed parties, and romantic dinner options.
  4. Romantic atmosphere – Sandals Resorts are designed specifically for couples, so you’ll find a romantic atmosphere everywhere you go. From candlelit dinners on the beach to couples massages at the spa, Sandals Resorts offer plenty of opportunities to connect with your partner and make unforgettable memories.  There are also tons of hidden areas with swings and unique seating around the resort where you can retreat to hang out in your own private space.
  5. All-inclusive convenience with Sandals – With all-inclusive honeymoons, you don’t have to worry about any additional expenses once you arrive at the resort. Everything is included, from meals and drinks to activities and entertainment. This makes it easy to relax and enjoy your honeymoon without worrying about the cost of every little thing.
