October weddings have always been my favorite. Morgan and Jobi’s wedding at The Venue at Robinson Ranch was beautiful from start to finish – perfect weather, beautiful lighting, gorgeous venue – everything you want in a wedding! Normally, I’d say the crisp fall air is what makes October weddings so special, but being in South Louisiana, there wasn’t much fall to be found that day!
Morgan and Jobi both got ready at the venue, which thoughtfully provided both a bride and groom suite, ensuring that every moment leading up to the ceremony is comfortable and easy. After a fairly uneventful morning getting ready, there was a little snag with Morgan’s dress that caused a little bit of stress. In the true spirit of love and family, one of Morgan’s aunts came to the rescue. Despite the momentary stress, Morgan was a picture of beauty and grace once she was finally dressed and ready for her walk down the aisle.
Morgan’s choice of colors for her wedding added the perfect touch to the wedding’s aesthetic. She also did all of the decor herself! The warm mauve shade of the bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly complimented the neutral and brown tones of the florals and other decor that Morgan made.
The ceremony was held in the outdoor chapel on the venue property. This beautiful, bright and open space was the perfect backdrop for their vows. Morgan and Jobi’s baby girl, Ella, decided about halfway through the ceremony that she also wanted to take part in the vows, which had everyone giggling as she walked up to them and then eventually demanded to be picked up. After the ceremony, we had some perfect golden light for portraits then it was time to party!
The reception was held outside next to the pond, under strings of warm lights. Jobi and Morgan ran through their bridal party and families with lots of cheering and went straight into their first dance, surrounded by their loved ones. The party went on throughout the night, with everyone dancing and having a great time, eventually ending with a special sparkler exit. One of my favorite parts of the reception was every time Ella would walk out onto the dance floor. She would look around, plop down on the ground and just start shaking back and forth to the music. Every single time she got to the dance floor, she sat and danced while on the ground. It was so cute! I couldn’t believe she even made it to the end of the reception after the long day she had!
Morgan and Jobi – you to are just so much fun and so loved by everyone around you! Your wedding day was amazing; a testament to the love and support of all of your family and friends. I wish the 3 of you all the love in the world!
