Introducing the court of Galatea LV!   This is our 3rd year working with this mystic all-women’s krewe and it just gets better every year.   We get so excited to see what the theme will be, what the costumes will look like and who will be chosen to participate in the court!

Galatea does their court presentation, tableau, and ball all in one day.  No one gets to find out who the royalty will be until the court presentation and there are always some big surprises!   One of the biggest this year was that the king, Mr. Charlie Solar, didn’t know he was going to be chosen!

This year, the theme is Galatea’s Creation of Beauty with the Queen representing Chinoiserie and the King being the Master Artist.   The made and duke couples represented a ginger jar, foo dog, pagoda, and koi fish.  The float groups all represent different types of art such as photography, needlepoint, mimes, and hieroglyphics.  Such a beautiful and creative theme and it was so much fun seeing each one revealed!

The Krewe of Galatea will roll at 2pm on Sunday, February 11 in Morgan City.  We can’t wait to spend ride day with them!
