A Beautiful Summer Wedding in Paris, Texas: Blayne and Faith’s Special Day

Last weekend, I had the absolute joy of photographing Blayne and Faith’s beautiful summer wedding in Paris, Texas! 🎉 This destination wedding was particularly close to my heart. 💖 Blayne and I first met about 3 years ago when he was filming a wedding I was photographing. Even then, I was so impressed by his professionalism at his age, and when he started his own videography company, I jumped at the chance to support him, recommending him to all my brides. Over the years, we worked together several times, forming not just a professional relationship but a friendship.

Capturing the Proposal 💍

When Blayne decided to propose to Faith, he asked me to be there to capture the moment. That’s when I met Faith, and it didn’t take long for me to love her just as much. She’s bubbly, warm, and has an infectious personality that lights up any room. 🌟 Their families are just as kind and welcoming, and when Blayne asked me to photograph their Texas wedding, I didn’t hesitate for a second to say yes! 🙌 With help from his parents, we made it happen!   Before the big day, we also had an adventurous, rainy-day engagement session at Avery Island, which you can check out here!

Road Trip to Paris, Texas 🚗

The day before the wedding, Amanda and I hit the road for our trip to Texas. We had so much fun exploring Paris and even made a quick detour to Oklahoma—just because it was only 15 minutes away! We took a few photos, turned around, and headed back, laughing the entire way. 😄 We also got to see the Texas Eiffel Tower and, of course, Jesus in cowboy boots! 🤠 It was a short but sweet trip, full of laughter and excitement for the wedding day ahead.  If you’d like to see some of those adventures, you can check out my IG or TikTok!

The Wedding Day: A Perfect Celebration in Paris, Texas 🌞

Blayne and Faith’s wedding day was nothing short of perfect. We started at a beautiful Airbnb in the quaint downtown area of Paris, Texas, filled with natural light—ideal for those stunning bridal prep photos. Faith was all smiles, and her sunny personality shone through in every shot. 😊 Their first look and vow exchange took place in Bywaters Park, a quiet spot near the Airbnb. It was an intimate moment, with a few family members and the bridal party watching from a distance, making it even more special.  Bywaters Park was the perfect spot for a summer wedding in Paris Texas!

A Ceremony Filled with Meaning: Faith and Blayne’s Wedding at Paris Church of God ✨

During the ceremony, the pastor (Faith’s brother-in-law who’s known her since she was a little girl) mentioned how the song “Here Comes the Sun” perfectly represents Faith. From the little time I’ve known her, I could see exactly what he meant. As she walked down the aisle, the room was dark, with spotlights shining down on her and her dad—a beautiful and dramatic entrance.  One of the ring bearers carried a ring pillow made by her grandmother, which had been used in her mother’s wedding, adding a sweet personal touch to the day. 💍

Before the ceremony, Faith’s bridesmaids and all the parents gathered around her, offering prayers. 🙏 It was a touching and emotional moment that set the tone for the day. After the ceremony, we headed to an alley of trees behind the church for some “just married” portraits at sunset. 🌅 Even though it was hot and Faith’s shoes were less than comfortable, they embraced the moment, enjoying the quiet before the reception kicked off. I always tell my couples to savor these moments together, and I’m so glad they did!

A Texas-Style Reception: Tacos, Enchiladas, and Unforgettable Memories 🌮🎶

The reception was a true Texas wedding celebration, complete with tacos, enchiladas, and a lively money dance—just a little different from our usual Louisiana traditions! Faith, the youngest of seven, was celebrated with a heartfelt speech by her older sister Sarah, who shared how she had taken on a motherly role in Faith’s life. ❤️ On the flip side, Blayne, the oldest of three, had his best man give a speech that had everyone laughing—reminding us all to always say “Haunted” house instead of “Horror” house! 😂

Wrapping Up the Perfect Wedding Day with a Sparkler Exit 🎇

The night ended with a private last dance for the newlyweds, followed by a magical sparkler exit, wrapping up a day that couldn’t have been more perfect.

Blayne and Faith, thank you for letting me be part of your journey from the proposal to your wedding day. Your love for each other is so clear, and I’m honored to have captured these memories for you. Here’s to a lifetime of sunny days and shared laughter! ☀️💕
