Olivia and Trevor described their wedding in three words: traditional, classy, and family-oriented. That’s exactly what it was, from start to finish.
Getting Ready
The day started at Olivia’s parents’ home in Houma, surrounded by her bridesmaids, her flower girls, and the people who know her best. Just around the corner from the church, Trevor and his guys got ready with his twin brother, Tyler, by his side as best man.
The Ceremony
Olivia and Trevor were married at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Houma, with Fr. Alex officiating. One of my favorite details: Olivia’s brother Seth played Trumpet Voluntary alongside pianist Kayla LeBlanc as she walked down the aisle. Their sisters and sisters-in-law shared the readings, which made the ceremony feel even more personal and rooted in family.
The Reception
The celebration moved to The Foundry on the Bayou in Thibodaux, and it’s always a good choice. The rustic exposed brick walls and industrial beams give every photo so much character. Olivia and Trevor chose it because it felt elegant, sat right on the bayou, and gave their out-of-town guests a true South Louisiana experience.
Soft shades of mauve, blush, and white filled the room, and guests went home with little jars of honey as favors. Over at the groom’s cake table, these two had their very own Lady and the Tramp moment, sharing a Double Doozie cookie. I loved it!
The Nola Dukes Band kept the dance floor packed all night, with crowd favorites like “Callin’ Baton Rouge” and “Mr. Brightside.” Add in glow sticks and flashing glasses, and this party was a blast. We wrapped up the night with a fun streamer send-off.
Olivia and Trevor, thank you for trusting me with your wedding day. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Schott!
