Nina and Colby were finally able to have their wedding at The Canefield! After having to reschedule their original March wedding date because of the lockdown, finally, they had their big day! This was a wedding I’d been looking forward to for a long time. Nina’s sister, Mandy, is a friend of mine, and I couldn’t wait to meet not only Nina but the rest of their family. I just knew it would be a fun night and it didn’t disappoint!
Not only were the months leading up to the wedding stressful for them, but the week before, there was a hurricane headed for our area. Thankfully, everything turned out perfectly and it wound up being a beautiful day for a wedding.
The decor at The Canefield was done by Ta-Dah and it was absolutely stunning. The draping and florals were just gorgeous and really transformed the already beautiful venue. I truly love working at this place!
Nina and her girls got ready in the loft space of The Canefield, which is just a beautifully lit space, perfect for pre-ceremony images! It was a lot of fun being around Nina, her sister and nieces, as well as her mom. This is such a fun group of women! Nina’s baby girl Lucy was also running around the whole time and she’s just the cutest!
Not only did Nina and Colby have a first look, but Nina and her dad did as well. This is something I’m suggesting for all of my new brides – it’s such a sweet and special moment to have a big reveal with your dad! Nina’s dad was so blown away when he saw her, it was a beautiful moment.
I didn’t find out until the day of the wedding, but Nina and Colby were married by the pastor of my church, Pastor Brandon. I didn’t even realize we went to the same church and made the day that much better when I got to see Pastor Brandon and his wife, Rachelle. They are actually long-time friends of Nina and her family.
After the ceremony, there was lots of dancing, laughing, and loud singing along to The Groove. I think one of my favorite moments was when the band sang With Arms Wide Open … I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a group of people get so excited about that song and everyone was singing full blast and very energetically LOL
Congratulations Nina and Colby – I hope you enjoyed your Key West honeymoon!
