Some sessions hold an extra special meaning, and baby Collins’ in-home lifestyle newborn session was one of them. I’ve known her parents, Jayne and Justin, through church, and after hearing their testimony over the summer, I knew just how much of a blessing this sweet girl is to their family. Getting to capture these first moments in their home, surrounded by love and faith, was such an honor.
Since Collins arrived right before Christmas, Jayne and Justin wanted to incorporate some holiday touches into their session. We photographed her in her beautiful nursery and then captured some cozy family moments by the Christmas tree and stockings, making these images even more sentimental. There’s something so special about documenting a newborn’s first holiday season—these moments pass by so quickly, and now they’ll always have these memories to look back on.
And we couldn’t leave out the whole family! We were even able to get both of their dogs in a photo with Collins, making for such a sweet and fun moment. It’s always heartwarming to see pets welcoming a new little one into the home, and these pups looked like they were already so protective of their new baby sister.
Jayne and Justin, thank you for welcoming me into your home to document this precious season for your family. Collins is such a gift, and I know she will be so loved and cherished. I can’t wait to see her grow!
