The last session of the year is always a special one, and baby Samson’s newborn session was the perfect way to close out 2024. Just a couple of days before Christmas, I had the joy of capturing this sweet little one alongside his mama and grandma. With an active toddler waiting at home, this session also gave mama a rare moment of quiet—something every new parent can appreciate!
This family holds a special place in my heart because I’ve had the honor of capturing so many of their milestones. I first met Samson’s parents when I photographed their wedding, and then I got to document his big brother Levi’s first year. It’s hard to believe Levi will be two later this year! Now, with Samson here, it’s such a joy to continue preserving their growing family’s memories.
Samson had his own plans for his session, though—he wanted to stay awake and take it all in! Those bright, curious eyes stayed open for most of our time together, but we did manage to get some sweet, sleepy moments in between. Whether wide-eyed or peacefully resting, he looked absolutely precious in every setup with all of that beautiful dark hair.
I’ll be seeing Samson again for his 6-month milestone session, and I can’t wait to see how much he’s grown! Watching little ones go from tiny newborns to smiling, sitting babies is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
