It was amazing to see this sweet boy again, about a week after his Fresh 48 session.   You may also remember his family from Kimi’s maternity session that I posted a while back.  Kye is named after his late grandfather, Kimi’s “Paw”, who was also named Kai (I believe I got the spelling correct there?)  Kimi has a tattoo of an anchor in honor of her Paw, so we included an anchor in a few of Kye’s photos.   I love how these turned out and how we could subtly honor her Paw.   I’m sure he is smiling down on this sweet baby boy and his family.  In addition to these, Kimi had requested some fishing themed photos.   I’ve had this little “newspaper” hat for years and had never used it – I love how precious it looks on Kye in the bucket!

Ben and Kayden weren’t able to make it to the newborn session because of work and school, but I felt like we’d been on this journey with them for a while and really wanted to capture some images of the whole family together as well as Ben with his boys.   I had them come in for a quick additional session so we could capture the family photos – I’m so glad we did this – I hope they are too!  I mean, just look at big brother Kayden loving on his new baby – all the heart-eyed emojis for that one!
