What a beautiful afternoon it was taking these engagement photos at Nottoway Plantation last month! This is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph anything – bridals, engagements – you can even do family photos here. Between the stunning white room and the gorgeous property featuring old live oaks, manicured gardens and a big pond, you’ve got so much variety here.
Meghan and Layne were so relieved and excited to finally do their engagement photos. Originally we had them scheduled back in April, but we all know what happened with sessions back in the quarantine days. Then we were scheduled for August 1 and just a few days before, Nottoway had to cancel because one of their employees had Covid. So FINALLY, we made it out to the “White Castle!”
I love that Meghan chose a more formal look for their first outfit – it was perfect for the white ballroom and other indoor areas of the plantation. We had some fun exploring inside and taking a few images on the wrap-around porches and balconies, then we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. The afternoon sunlight was so perfect – I love these images so much!
In just about one more month, Meghan and Layne will be celebrating their wedding and I can’t wait to capture that day for them!
