LSU Engagement Pictures – Hannah and Steven

Hannah and Steven met at college so why not do an LSU engagement session?  When we first started discussing locations for their photos, Hannah asked for suggestions around Houma. Once she told me they live out in Baton Rouge, I knew I would prefer traveling to them.  Baton Rouge has so many beautiful and fun locations for sessions!

My first thought was Arsenal Park in Baton Rouge (although I initially called it Artillery Park when telling Hannah about it LOL).  The park is also called Veterans Memorial Park and Capital Gardens.  I did a one year family session there a few years ago and really enjoyed being there.  It’s a gorgeous park with so many different backdrops – greenery, a beautiful line of crepe myrtles, lakeshore and even and old brick fort.  Once we settled on Baton Rouge, Hannah decided she also wanted to do some on LSU’s campus.

It’s been a while since I’ve done an LSU engagement session and I was excited to visit it again. This campus is GORGEOUS in the afternoon summer light!  And it was so quiet and peaceful on this Sunday evening.  Hannah’s brother was saying that many students are still doing distance learning so the campus has been unusually empty.   He came along to help with the dogs, who did exceptionally well!  We focused mainly on the quad area because Hannah liked the arches but there are a lot of fun and beautiful spots on campus, including Tiger Stadium!

Hannah and Steven will be getting married early next year and I’m looking forward to working with them again!
