Bridals at the UL Alumni Center – Lerin

November 30, 2020

Several months ago, a photo popped up on my Facebook timeline of a couple getting engaged at Disney World and I remember thinking – that’s definitely a couple I’d love to work with!  I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it in a while, but I’m a huge Disney fan and one of my bucket list items is to photograph a wedding there.  This isn’t a post to say that I wound up photographing Lerin and Cameron’s wedding in Disney World BUT they were that couple that got engaged there and they chose me as their photographer – thanks to my amazing hairdresser, Gretchen.  You may remember Lerin and Cameron from their engagement session back in the spring – the first one I got to do after we were released from quarantine.  Lerin’s UL Alumni Center bridals came out so beautifully!  I didn’t know this was a location for photos and now I want to go there over and over!

Lerin lives in Lafayette and chose to do her bridal portraits out there.  She initially decided on the Alumni Center but later decided she also wanted to do some at the bridal store where she bought her dress.  This sounds a little odd at first UNTIL you see the place!   A-Net’s Bridal Boutique is a gem!   There are numerous rooms overflowing with gowns but each room has it’s own personality and they are all just beautiful!  There’s even a private room upstairs to bring all of your girls with you to try on dresses and have a tea party at the same time.  Then you step outside into the gorgeous courtyard and there’s even more to see.  Just look at that little chapel with the huge wooden doors and giant gold mirror – this was one of Lerin’s requested photos – it’s stunning!

After photographing Lerin around the boutique, we headed over to the UL Alumni Center, which is a gorgeous outdoor setting.  The gardens are perfect for photos and there are lots of places to choose from.  The entry gates are amazing, too!

By the time these get posted, I will have already photographed Lerin and Cameron’s wedding – so congratulations you two!  It’s been so much fun getting to know you!
