Chrissy and Charles were originally scheduled to get married in September, but like many 2020 events, it was rescheduled to January. Their intimate wedding at Dominique’s Bistro was such a beautiful event. A complete change from the last bold wedding I posted – this winter wedding was accented by beautiful white flowers and dusty blue bridesmaids’ dresses.
I loved how unique the event was at this venue. Walking into the front doors of Dominique’s, you were greeted by candlelight everywhere. The ceremony was held on the outdoor patio – a low-light, small gathering space that made everything seem so cozy. Very much needed on this cold, January night (one of the coldest we’ve had so far!). Guests were able to congregate and socialize in the outdoor bar space then move out to the heated tent to enjoy an amazing band, Le Bon Temps.
Being part of the Houma Krewe of Terreanians, this group was a blast to work with. The groom’s cake was a nod not only to their Carnival krewe but also to Charles’ late father – it had his initials inside of the krewe’s logo. The food, all laid out inside the restaurant, including a beautiful charcuterie board as well as unique items like mini blueberry bread pudding.
I feel so honored to have been part of this wedding – one that was (5-6?) years in the making! Chrissy and Charles are obviously so loved by their family and friends – everyone seemed so genuinely happy that these two are finally married! Congratulations to this new family!
