Our Lady of the Rosary Wedding – Whitney and Chase

Whitney and Chase that their wedding at Our Lady of the Rosary last weekend on a beautiful March afternoon.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and I’m so excited to share their wedding images on the blog today!  I hadn’t had the chance to meet Whitney or Chase before their wedding but it felt like I’d known them forever.  They are both so down-to-earth, welcoming, and fun.  Wedding planning was stressful for Whitney and in the end, they did the right thing by making sure the whole day was about them and what they wanted.  With the help of their planner, Nicole, everything went perfectly.  Their ceremony and wedding venues were even changed at one point once they realized that having it in their hometown would be much more meaningful to them and their families.  We also loved working with videographers Lara and Nik of Moss + Magnolia.   They are sisters so it was 2 sets of sisters working together that night!

The day started out at a beautiful home in Cut Off where all the girls had their hair and make-up done.  At one point, Whitney had 3 different girls helping her get ready – only on a wedding day will a girl get so much pampering and attention!  The guys got ready at a local hotel and headed over to Our Lady of the Rosary church for their photos.  The wedding ceremony was beautiful and guess what?!  NO ropes or painter’s tape on the pews anymore!!   Father Duc mentioned this in his homily and that’s when I realized it was the first time in a year that I won’t have to try and disguise, edit or minimize those distractions in the church photos!  Once the ceremony was over and we took some beautiful portraits – Whitney and Chase are so easy to photograph – everyone headed to the Larose Civic Center for the reception.

The space was decorated beautifully by Sweet Cheeks Event Planning.  The guests entered into the space with twinkle lights overhead and were greeted by Whitney and Chase’s awesome wedding band, Shorts in December.   These guys were so much fun and kept the crowd dancing all night long!  After all of the cake photos and dances, the party was kicked off with a countdown and confetti on the dance floor.  Such a fun way to let the guests know, it’s time to party!  Another great idea set up by Sweet Cheeks was an area off to the side for guests to take photos in front of.  We often have groups asking us to take photos and other than the cake table, there usually isn’t another good spot for these types of requests.   So this photo area worked out perfectly!

On my way out at the end of the night, I asked Whitney about their honeymoon.  She and Chase have come up with the cutest idea – “Many” or “Mini” Moons.   Instead of one big honeymoon, they’ll take several smaller trips throughout the year with the first being in Nashville next month!  This is such a great idea to experience lots of different places as a new couple – a fun and unique way to start this new season of their lives!
