Another Grow with Me baby is turning one already!  It seems like just a few months ago I was photographing Piper’s newborn session, I can’t believe it’s already been a year.  This sweet baby girl is SO animated, just look at all her precious expressions!  Her DeeDee always does such a great job with getting her to smile and clap.  This was also the first time that I’ve had a daddy in charge of a session but Piper’s dad, Danny, did an awesome job at the session as well.

Piper’s watermelon cake smash was originally going to be done outside but with all the rain we’ve been having, it just wasn’t a good option.  I actually LOVE how it turned out inside, though!   Piper’s pawpaw made her watermelon stand and her mommy sent over the balloons and fabric garland.   Both were just the most perfect touches to the backdrop!

Piper was another dainty eater who didn’t really want her hands dirty.  Once we gave her a wooden spoon and showed her how to dig in, she enjoyed herself much more!   She really loved sucking cake off of that spoon!
