Alexis and Taylor’s New Orleans wedding was one that I’ve been looking forward to for a while now. We had so much fun at their engagement session in City Park as well as for Alexis’ bridal portraits, so I just knew their wedding would be a blast!
Alexis teaches with my mom, so she contacted me a while back to book her wedding. My mom also taught her brother as well as her ring bearer! The day of their wedding was a gorgeous November afternoon, a little bit chilly, but otherwise perfect! I know it’s going to be a good wedding day when I arrive at the bridal prep and everyone has hair and make-up completely done and they are just relaxing and enjoying these pre-wedding moments. There’s no rushing, no stress – well, I’m sure there’s a little bit of nervousness on the bride’s part, but at least things are on time!
The church that Alexis and Taylor chose to get married in, St. Francis of Assisi in New Orleans was gorgeous! The dark woodwork everywhere and the brightly painted ceiling above the altar were stunning – the perfect backdrop for their wedding. Such a stunning church!
Their reception at The Crossing in Kenner was also a great location! I loved the exposed brick walls and the string lights on the ceiling! The dance floor stayed packed the entire night and one of the best parts was when the DJ had the groomsmen sing “I Want it That Way” … you’d be surprised how many guys know all the words to that song!
The night ended with a confetti exit – more confetti than I think Alexis and Taylor expected! At points during their exit, you couldn’t even see them, just a solid white cloud of confetti!
Congratulations Alexis and Taylor! I love you guys and had so much fun with you over the last year. Enjoy your honeymoon cruise!
