Cypress Columns Wedding – Lindsey and Andre

What a beautiful way to celebrate a couple that overcame many challenges to finally make it to their wedding day!   Lindsey and Andre’s wedding at Cypress Columns was a fun-filled evening that all of their family and friends thoroughly enjoyed.   There were many obstacles along the way but everyone was overjoyed to finally see them celebrate their love and make a lifelong commitment to each other.

After a couple of reschedules due to Covid and Hurricane Ida (their original wedding date was 5 days after the storm), Lindsey and Andre’ said their I Do’s at a beautiful little church in Kraemer, St. Lawrence Church.  It was a very, very cold day – maybe the coldest day we’ve had this winter, with lows in the upper 20’s.   Definitely not what we are used to down here in the South!   Originally scheduled to get ready at a bed and breakfast in Raceland, plans changed at the last minute when they weren’t able to repair storm damage in time.  So Lindsey and her girls got ready where Lindsey worked, which seemed to work out great!  The 3 little flower girls, one of them Lindsey’s daughter, Emma, were so cute and I loved the little white furs they wore – they were all pretending to be Elsa, which fit, given the cold weather we had!   After Lindsey opened her gift from Andre’ and was dressed by her mom and her bridesmaids, we all braved the cold and light drizzle to capture some gorgeous photos under the porch.

Andre’ is the chief at the fire station where he works, so there was a fire truck escort from the church to Cypress Columns where the reception was being held.  Of course, the food and service was amazing, like it always is at Cypress Columns.  Omega Sounds did an amazing job of keeping the party going and the night ended with a very cold sparkler exit!

From their engagement session at Laurel Valley to Lindsey’s bridal session at Ardoyne Plantation and then their wedding day, I’ve enjoyed working with these two every moment.   They are both such kind and down to earth people.  Lindsey greets everyone with a hug and a smile and her laugh is contagious, you just can’t help but enjoy being around her.  Andre’ is a welcoming guy with a big heart – before the ceremony, he and his friends walked over to the cemetery across the street to pay their respects to their lost friends and family members.  Their twins, Emma and Bubba are just the cutest pair.   Seeing them walk down the aisle together, Bubba walking ahead but turning around to make sure his sister was right behind them, was the sweetest thing.   Bubba was so excited to see his mama dressed up in her pretty dress and Emma looked like a little princess.   I couldn’t be happier for this new little family as they begin their life together.   Congratulations Lindsey and Andre’!
