“I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born.” says the Lord. ~Isaiah 66:9
I couldn’t be more excited for this little family as they anxiously await their baby girl! I’ve been photographing Kera and Jacob since their wedding several years ago. When Kera contacted me about scheduling photos for Harper, I was so happy for them. You can see from some of the photos, Harper is their rainbow baby and the little teddy bear represents their baby boy in heaven, Caleb. I love that they wanted to incorporate not only Caleb, but the signs with the scripture on them. Those are such powerful verses and it’s because of scripture, that rainbow babies are called “rainbow babies” to begin with. So I love that Kera and Jacob have incorporated their faith into this session. Harper will always know that she was an answered prayer.
Rainbows are a sign of the covenant that God made with Noah after the great flood in the Bible. It symbolizes God’s promise to never again destroy the earth by flooding and usually appears after a storm – a sign of God keeping his Word.
Kera and Jacob – I cannot be more honored to be a part of this beautiful journey. My heart aches for the pain you endured last year, but the promise of your sweet Harper is coming soon!
