Just picture this … the perfect October afternoon, a beautiful wedding under a massive, old live oak, surrounded by the colors of a sunset. Well, you don’t have to use too much imagination because that’s exactly what Tina and Cory’s wedding day was like – just scroll to see how stunning this wedding day was!
Both Tina and Cory got ready with their family and friends at this amazing Airbnb property called Sleepy Lagoon, located in Covington. There are a couple of different rental options on the property along with beautiful landscaping that includes ponds, bridges, trees and so much more. It’s the perfect location for a wedding prep day, especially when it’s right down the road from your venue!
And then let’s talk about the details for a second, specifically Tina’s dress and her wedding band. I know I say it often, but I just love unique details – no matter how small. Tina’s dress was amazing – it was lacy and flowy with a boho vibe and even though this was the first time I met her, I got the feeling it was perfect for her personality and definitely for the vibe of her wedding! Her wedding band was the daintiest gold band with a scripture reference engraved on the inside and “Til Death” engraved on the outside. So simple and so perfect.
All of the bridal party photos were taken at Sleepy Lagoon as well as some of Tina and Cory’s portraits. The lighting and location were just perfect and I love how they turned out! I know they were a little wary of my instructions at first (“Ok Cory, now nuzzle her …”) Cue the crazy look! But it only took a glance at the back of my camera for them to trust me and we sure did make some magic with their portraits all day!
After doing some photos around Sleepy Lagoon, we headed down the road to Vintage Court, which is just a beautiful venue with a pretty neat history. You can read more about it on their website, but the property used to be a large convent. The grounds are amazing and the French Quarter-style courtyard overlooks the most amazing live oak where Tina and Cory’s outdoor ceremony took place right before sunset. After their ceremony, Tina and Cory had their first dance and then everyone had fun dancing and listening to The Glory Rhodes Band!
