Some sessions feel like a full-circle moment, and Adelyn’s first birthday session was definitely one of them! I’ve known her mama, Brandy, for a long time—we both have 19-year-old boys the same age, who have become friends in recent years. And this isn’t the first time I’ve photographed their family! I captured Adelynn’s big sister as a newborn (which I can hardly believe was about 14 years ago now!) and documented her 2-year-old brother’s first year as well. Getting to continue photographing this sweet family over the years has been such an honor!
Now it was Adelyn’s turn to be in the spotlight, and let me tell you—she was a busy little thing! Sitting still was not on her agenda, which is pretty fitting for an active, curious one-year-old. She was much more interested in exploring, moving, and making sure she didn’t miss a thing. But when it came time for cake, that was a different story! 🎂 As you’ll see in the photos, she had no problem digging in and fully enjoying her celebration.
