Keatyn and Luke’s Wedding at The Petroleum Club of Morgan City

Keatyn and Luke’s wedding day was such a beautiful one, and for me personally, it felt extra special in so many ways. From the people involved to the sweet moments throughout the day, this was one of those weddings that felt like such a full-circle kind of celebration.

Their ceremony took place at Bethel Pentecostal in Morgan City, followed by a reception at The Petroleum Club of Morgan City. The weather could not have been more perfect for a spring wedding day. Everything felt bright, fresh, and joyful, which fit Keatyn and Luke’s day so well.

The colors were classic blue and white, and I especially loved the light blue floral pattern that was carried throughout the details of the day. It tied everything together so beautifully, from their invitation suite to the reception decor. It was such a pretty touch and gave the whole day a classic feel that photographed so well.

One of the most meaningful parts of the ceremony was Keatyn’s dad officiating the wedding. He spoke so sweetly about how Keatyn is the last of his children to get married and how special it was that he had the honor of officiating all of their weddings. It was such a personal and heartfelt moment.

This wedding was also especially meaningful to me because of so many familiar faces throughout the day. I photographed Keatyn’s brother’s wedding, so getting to be part of another family wedding was really special. The videographer is also a friend I’ve known through the wedding industry for years, and the coordinator and decorator is a longtime friend as well—someone whose three daughters’ weddings I also had the honor of photographing. And as if that wasn’t enough of a reunion already, there were six past brides at the reception. Getting to catch up with them, see their husbands, and meet or see their little ones was just the sweetest thing.

The reception at The Petroleum Club had so many fun touches. Guests were treated to ice cream sundaes and root beer floats, which was such a fun addition and definitely a crowd favorite. They also played a game to see who knew Keatyn and Luke better, which added such a lighthearted and personal element to the evening.

Keatyn and Luke’s wedding was beautiful, not just because of the weather or the details but because of the people and so much love throughout the whole day. It was such an honor to be there and to document another really special day for this family.
