I feel like my whole schedule is a little skewed and thrown off. I didn’t have the whole “new year, new you” motivation like usual because instead of planning for a healthier “new me,” I was packing for a vacation. Now that I’m back and starting to settle back into a routine and normal life, I’m ready to really start my new year! Our church always starts off the year with 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, which I also haven’t been able to participate in very much because we had an all-inclusive vacation thrown right into the middle of those 21 days and there was no fasting being done there, trust me! LOL
So how will I set myself up for success in the coming year? Well, that’s something I’ve been giving a lot of thought to this week and I’m hoping to have it figured out and ready to start on Monday. (I know I’m not the only one with the “Start on Monday” mentality!) Monday, I will start my own personal 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting (our church live streams every morning so I’ll be able to go back and watch them all). I’m also working on my health in the coming months. I need to get up and move my body more. I’ve really gotten complacent (lazy) over the last few years. I sit for the majority of my day since I’m on a computer editing and working from home. My plan is to start getting up every hour to walk the dog or just play with him in the yard for a minute. I also need to cut out junk food and sugar.
Why am I boring you with all of these details? Probably because I need some accountability and if I’m putting it out there for everyone to read, I guess it will give me a little more motivation to follow through – at least that’s the plan.
Speak of sugar and sweetness – Alaina and her big siblings are full of both! They visited me right before Christmas for Alaina’s 9-month mini milestone session. I love that I always get to see Isaac and Leah for Alaina’s sessions, especially since I photographed Leah’s Fresh 48 session a few years ago! It’s so fun to watch all 3 of them grow and change as the months go by!
