I love when parents come to me with unique and fun ideas for their child’s photo shoot. Santiago’s 90’s hip-hop-themed cake smash was definitely one of those moments! From the tiny Adidas tracksuit to the perfectly themed balloon arch, it was clear that this session was going to be a lot of fun.

However, when Santiago arrived, he was a bit shy and took a long time to warm up to the camera. This can be a common experience for young children, and it’s important to be patient and allow them time to feel comfortable. As a photographer, I always aim to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere, which can help kids feel at ease and get into the spirit of things.

Eventually, Santiago began to relax and we were able to capture some truly adorable moments.  Despite his initial shyness, he ended up being a total star! I can’t wait to see what other creative ideas parents come up with in the future.
