Over the last 15 years as a wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing some truly amazing couples, but Abigail and Drew were definitely one for the books. Their ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, and their reception was at the amazing Cypress Columns. From the moment I met them, I knew that this wedding was going to be something special. You can go back to their engagements at Golden Ranch Plantation to see how we giggled our way through that whole session. I knew way back then that this was going to be a day to remember!
Abigail and Drew are without a doubt one of the sweetest, most in-love couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Their love for each other was palpable throughout the day, from the intimate moments during their first look to their emotional last dance.
One of the sweetest (and funniest) moments from the day was when Drew’s mom told Amanda how she used to iron his socks every morning so they would be warm when he put them on for school. It was such a small detail, but it spoke volumes about the love and care that this family shares. Amanda made sure to capture it in photos, too!
Another highlight of the day was the flower girl, Valerie. She was an absolute star and hands down the easiest and cutest flower girl I’ve ever worked with. The little ring bearer, Carter, was also such an angel! The two of them did an amazing job walking down the aisle together!
The reception was a true celebration of love and family. Abigail and Drew stayed on the dance floor surrounded by their loved ones all night long, and it was such a joy to capture the laughter and love that filled the room. As the night drew to a close, Abigail and Drew shared an incredibly emotional last dance, which brought tears to my eyes. They ended the night with a sparkler exit, surrounded by their family and friends, which was the perfect end to a perfect day.
I feel so lucky to have been a part of Abigail and Drew’s special day, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to capture their love story. Congratulations to the happy couple, and cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness together!
