Thibodaux wedding at St. John the Evanglist – Emily and Wesley

Emily and Wesley had such a fun wedding, but we didn’t doubt that it would be for a second!   Several years ago, Amanda and I photographed a wedding in a hurricane.   Yep, you heard that right … Stacey and Daniel’s wedding was when most of South Louisiana shut down and set curfews because of the approaching Hurricane Barry.   It turned out to not be a bad storm, thank goodness, but it will forever go down as one of two weddings we photographed during a hurricane.   Emily is Stacey’s sister so it was so much fun to work with their family again!

Emily and Wesley had a beautiful day for their wedding.   Their ceremony was at St. John the Evangelist in Thibodaux and was followed by a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall.   Good Feelin’ played at the reception and they always keep the crowd entertained and dancing.   Emily wanted a simple, fun and romantic day and that’s exactly what they had.   The bright and cheerful colors, yellow sunflowers and royal blue details, was perfect for their early spring wedding.

Congratulations Emily and Wesley and to the Theriot family – it was such an honor to share in another event with you all!   I hope to see you all again for the next one! 🙂
