Alexis & Taylor’s Classic New Orleans Wedding at St. Francis of Assisi & The Crossing in Kenner

Some weddings are extra special, and Alexis and Taylor’s New Orleans wedding was definitely one of them! After capturing their City Park engagement session and Alexis’ bridal portraits at Longue Vue House and Gardens, I knew their wedding day would be filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

From the stunning ceremony at St. Francis of Assisi in New Orleans to the lively reception at The Crossing in Kenner, their day was the perfect blend of elegance, fun, and personal touches.

Getting Ready for the Big Day

Alexis and Taylor’s November wedding day started off just right—a little chilly but otherwise perfect! When I arrived at bridal prep, everyone was completely ready, enjoying a relaxed morning with no stress or rushing. I always know it’s going to be an amazing day when a bride gets to soak in these moments with her closest friends and family before walking down the aisle.

A Stunning Ceremony at St. Francis of Assisi, New Orleans

Alexis and Taylor chose to say their vows at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in New Orleans, and I was blown away by the beauty of this historic church. With its rich dark woodwork and a vibrantly painted ceiling above the altar, it provided the perfect backdrop for a classic and romantic wedding ceremony.

As Alexis walked down the aisle, you could see the excitement in Taylor’s face. The moment was emotional and heartfelt—one of those wedding day memories that stays with you forever.

A Fun-Filled Reception at The Crossing in Kenner

After the ceremony, everyone headed to The Crossing in Kenner for a night of celebration! This venue was the perfect choice, with its exposed brick walls, warm lighting, and charming string lights decorating the ceiling. The space had a cozy yet elegant feel, setting the stage for an unforgettable night of dancing and laughter.

The dance floor stayed packed all night, and one of the most hilarious moments was when the DJ had the groomsmen perform a surprise rendition of I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys. Turns out, a lot of guys know all the words to that song! It was a moment that had everyone cheering, laughing, and singing along.

A Confetti Exit to Remember

To close out the night, Alexis and Taylor planned a fun confetti exit, but I don’t think they expected quite this much confetti! At one point, there was so much of it flying around that you could barely see them—it was like a solid white cloud of celebration!

It was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing wedding day, and I couldn’t be happier for these two!
