Wedding at St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral – Kimi and Ben

Another beautiful October wedding at St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral!   Kimi and Ben were married at St. Joseph’s and their reception was at The Foundry in Thibodaux.  I first met them this summer when I took engagement photos of Kimi and Ben on their property.  Their son Kayden was in some of the photos with them and is just the sweetest thing.

Kimi got ready at her Nanny’s house and I was able to capture some images of hair and make-up when I arrived there.  Kimi’s flower girl was so excited to be part of the wedding and was right there by her side, watching it all.  There were so many beautiful details to capture and I just love the color of the bridesmaids dresses.

For the wedding at St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral, Kimi requested a unique photograph taken from the altar of their first kiss.  This isn’t a photograph that I can often (ever) get because usually we aren’t allowed on the altar.  Kimi spoke to the priest and got permission for me to get in place to take the photo and I’m so glad she did.  It’s a gorgeous photograph that shows not only their first kiss as husband and wife and the beautiful cathedral, but look at the groom’s mom’s face – she is just beaming!  Kimi was also walked down the aisle by both her dad and her uncle.

Their reception at The Foundry had a rustic theme.  I love the old barrel cake table and the mugs they chose for their groomsmen.  Ben’s groom’s cake is pretty cool too!

I had such a great time working with these two and their families, congrats you guys!
