Toddlers … am I right?

Anyone with a 2-year-old right now can probably envision what a photography session with their toddler would be like.  You have to just let them be who they are.   There’s only one piece of advice I can give – PATIENCE – especially when they have as much personality as little Harper Kate!   It’s so rewarding when you can just have the patience to let them be who they are!

Harper took us through a gamut of emotions during her session, as you can see from the photos below.  I couldn’t just do a standard blog post for her because I just love how much of her personality I captured in the hour that she was here.  From her huge, infectious smile, pouty face, anger, confusion, a rousing rendition of “Let it Go” and even a couple of tears … Harper Kate gave it everything she had!   No amount of bribing with chocolate, Chik Fil A, or toys made her do anything she didn’t want to do.  She did enjoy a few songs from Frozen as well as talking about her recent trip to Disney World, but everything else was on her terms.   In the end, I just love how much of who she is at this moment in time shines through these images.   I hope her parents cherish these and can look back and laugh when they remember their adorable, strong-willed girl!
